Est ce que des gens sont déjà allé à ce festival qui m'a l'air assez sympatique (lisez les infos sur le site c'est assez marrant) et a un prix bien attractif

l'année dernière il y avait une putain de prog mais j'étais au ja sound donc pas pu y aller la ce me tente bien ...enchainer après avec le sundance (midnite, lutan fyah, natural black, gyptian ......)

bon je viens de relire le post sur le festival l'année dernière ca donne bien envie !! en attendant que la prog se complète un peu ....

N'hésite pas c'est top !!

D'autant que pendant ce temps, à Eindhoven, le line-up progresse :

+ ...

Attention, le Sundance sur 3 jours, cette année, ça va etre BiGGG!

Enfin, je ne dis pas ça pour dénigrer Geel, c'est également un big évènement, mais cette année, pour moi ça sera surement Sundance

Normalement j'suis plus attiré par l'affiche du Geel, mais là le Sundance fais très fort Apres avoir vu Beenie hier soir, j'me le referais sans problem

C'est un très bon festival.....
Logiquement, le vendredi soir..y'a toujours un sound Yardie qui débarque!
J'attends le nom avec impatience......sachant qu'il y a deja eu BodyGuard, MatterHorn, MetroMedia......

Pour moi, c'est pareil, chaque année, l'affiche du Geel me tempte à mort mais le Sundance, ça fait 5 ans que j'y vais avec mes potes, c'est un peu un pélerinage. lol.

Cette année, je me disais que j'irai surement au Geel, mais là, depuis l'annonce de Beenie Man, Yellowman et Bunny Wailer (même si avec lui rien n'est certain jusqu'à la dernière seconde...lol), je crois bien que je vais me faire les 3 jours et 4 nuits en Hollande.

En plus, Beenie Man sur la scène du camping, ça va mettre le feu aux planches!!!

Si seulement j'avais les sous (et le temps) pour me faire les deux festivals...Brigadier Jerry, ça doit bien le faire en sound!!!

En même temps, les 2 line-ups ne sont pas complets, si ça se trouve, ça va encore bien évoluer d'ici là!

Poppunt, an organisation for musicians and DJ’s, and Reggae Geel, the eldest reggaefestival in Belgium, have joined forces to organise the first Flemish Reggae-Dancehall Open Mic Contest: Catch a Mic @ Reggae Geel.

MC’s (Mic Chatters) or singers with their own lyrics on exsisting rootsreggae-, ska-, dub- or dancehallriddims can enter the contest by sending in 3 MP3’s to Poppunt – Catch a Mic – Kartuizerstraat 19/7 – 1000 Brussels – Belgium or to [adresse retirée]. All languages are allowed and everyone can register untill June 30th.

A professional jury will select 6 candidates. These candidates can show their skills in the Bounce Dancehall at Reggae Geel on Saturday 4th of August 2007. They can bring their own DJ or selector or can get assistence of Bong Productions Soundsystem. The winner gets a ‘meet and greet’ with one of the main acts of the festival.

During the finals at the festival, the public and the professional jury will select one winner (out of six). He/She will get a spot on the mainstage at the Bob Marley Birthday Bash in CC De Werft in Geel, February 2008.
Each competitor, selected or not, will get feedback from the jury. The jury consists of :
- Crucial P (Vaartkapoen – Brussels and don dadda of the Belgian Sound Systems);
- Karel Michiels (the most known Reggae Journalist in Belgium, http://www.reggae.be);
- Moogsta (VJ, TMF Coolsweat);
- TLP (DJ, Studio Brussel Bounce);
- Rigo Verwimp (Artistic director of Reggae Geel)
- Prince Far Out (Skyblasters).
- Rootstuff (Reggae Geel and Bong Productions Soundsystem).

The selected acts get free entrance for the Reggae Geel festival. Other expences (transportation, hotels, ...) are not compensated.
