Support the Trench Town Reading Centre – Knowledge is the Key To Success
We from YARD Gear http://www.yard-gear.com did found a registered association with the name HELP Jamaica! e.V.
(unabbreviated it is Help Establish Library Projects in Jamaica!)
The goal of our association is to support the existing Trench Town Reading Centre and to build funds to establish more Reading Centers in the future in some of Kingston's inner city ghetto areas.
The Trench Town Reading Center is community-based initiative a Library, School, and Community Cornerstone. A place where life is enriched by reading and learning. It tries to provide ways out of the cycle of poverty, crime and frustration, to exchange violence for the power of knowledge.
Focusing on education, literacy and other skills, it provides open and free access to information, encourages the exchange of ideas and thus creates a foundation for personel development and the upliftment of the whole community. It provides a modern collection of Caribbean and international children's books for all ages. The Reading Centre creates space for various community activities and the positive development of young children and youths – the future for a change!

-Spread the word and tell a friend
-Buy the YARD 'TrenchTown' charity shirt (the entire profit will be donated to the Trenchtown Reading Centre)
-Put this flyer (the one displayed above) on your Myspace/Website/Blog
-Put a web banner on your Myspace/Website/Blog (just send a mail with the needed size of the banner to (info [at] helpjamaica [dot] org) and we will send one to you)
-Collect money for our association on your dances (We can support your effort with information material that could be displayed at your dance to let people know what's going on.)
