London Associated Properties (LAP), the owner of Brixton’s covered markets, is presenting its plans to knock down Brixton Village (Granville Arcade) and rebuild it with fewer shops and a ten storey tower block on top. We understand it will be sending its application to Lambeth by the end of January 2009. Their proposal would be a disaster for the market and Brixton in general.
