It is not common for an artist to announce his last album. Yet that is what Barrington Levy has just done, telling the Jamaica Star that his next album would also be his last. "It will be the last album I release. I will still tour, I will also release singles, but I don't think I will release another album."

"It's about time", awaited for ages and due this autumn, will therefore be Barrington Levy's final tribute to Jamaican music. It will feature collaborations with Beres Hammond, Buju Banton, Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg & Mims (the single Watch dem released last year), Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Jadakiss.
Although he released a single last February with Vybz Kartel and Khago, Gangsters (the soundtrack of the film of the same name, in which he will act for the first time), Barrington Levy said he would keep working with the new generation of artists: "Believe me, if I'm still in shape, I'll do something with the next generation of artists after Vybz Kartel, because anything is possible".
