An album, a foundation, a film, "Reincarnated", about the recording of the album and his "conversion": Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg is piling up projects in Jamaica.
The latest, Noisey Jamaica, is a ten-part documentary series on Jamaica, which sets out "to explore the culture and the people behind dancehall, one of the most misunderstood forms of music".
The project, of which Snoop is executive producer, is driven by Noisey, a YouTube music channel founded by VICE alumni.
The first of the ten parts is devoted to Vybz Kartel ("one of the greatest lyricists of all time", says Dre Skull) and his crew, Gaza. The team heads to Portmore to gather testimonies from his devotees, then to Hellshire Beach, a stone's throw away.
A new episode will go online every Tuesday.
