First for the Get Up & Skank festival

A new festival is born in France: the Get Up! association, true to its commitment to promoting Jamaican music, is organising the first reggae festival in Nantes.

First for the Get Up & Skank festival

On 4 and 5 May, Nantes audiences are in for a very fine line-up for the first edition of the Get Up & Skank Festival, with internationally renowned bands, rising reggae talents and musical activists from the local scene.

Announced on the bill are the Twinkle Brothers and their conscious roots reggae, the Inna Di Yard collective, the Anglo-Dutch sound system King Shiloh, Nantes band One Seed, London's Jah Free and the unmissable Bretons who need no introduction, Stand High Patrol feat. Puppa Jim.
A fine programme for a first edition that, we hope, will lead to many more.
