"Virginia’s Ras Attitude Goes Tune For Tune With Beenie Man!!
Virginia’s RAS ATTITUDE gave Beenie Man a run for his money on Sunday, May 12th in Norfolk’s waterside. Beenie Man who was in town with Sound Trooper and Silva Cat was given lots of love from the VA crowd but without his band behind him the vibes began to fade about 20 minutes into his performance. Ras Attitude a Virginia based artist who was standing to the side of the stage noticed that Beenie Man needed a singer to give him some hype, so when the DJ’s were searching for a riddim for Beenie Man and the place was quiet Attitude saw his opportunity and yelled out "You want a singer Beenie!" Beenie looked over to Attitude and asked "Whey di singer dey?" Attitude replied "Si mi yah!" Beenie looked to the crowd and shouted, "let me see what the singer can do!" And proceeded to call Attitude on stage. Ras Attitude came with a weed song (which Attitude had remixed from a Blue Catrell track) and tore up the crowd! Beenie Man put his hands on his knees and looked astonished! Beenie went over to the DJ booth and pulled up the riddim, he then took another MIC and the two artistes went into combinations tune for tune for a good 30 minutes! Attitude was giving pure righteous tunes with Beenie trying to match all the way, and when Ras Attitude was ready to leave the stage Beenie Man told him that he couldn’t leave yet and so Attitude stayed on stage for another 10 minutes! It was a great night and the crowd loved the Beenie Man/Ras Attitude union.
Ras Attitude gives thanks to Jah for the opportunity to show that he could hold his own alongside a major artiste. Attitude proved that he is a force to be reckoned with! "
