Contrary to what we announced previously (news of 21/11/2007), it seems that Beenie Man will not take part in the Sting Festival on 26 December. While some claim he is afraid of facing Bounty Killer and his Alliance, the reasons given by the deejay seem more serious. He reportedly complained that he has never received a fee for his appearances at the festival in the past 10 years.
Isaiah Laing, the event's promoter, cries slander and has even gone so far as to threaten to reveal information he claims to hold on the Doctor, thanks to his past in the island's police force. In his view, if money has disappeared, Beenie Man should turn to his former management, Shocking Vibes. He added that if the King of Dancehall does not want to take part in the Sting, when he had committed to doing so for free, it is indeed because of Bounty Killer's presence.
