Reggae Sun Ska, a lasting success
on Friday, September 18th 2009 - 7 058 views
It is a discreet but lasting success: patiently, for 12 years, Reggae Sun Ska has established itself in the landscape of reggae festivals in France, to the point of becoming the doyen of these summer high masses in the Hexagon. It is also the one that launched the very much of-the-moment concept of the eco-festival.
For its twelfth edition, the festival broke attendance records, playing to sold-out crowds and counting more than 30,000 visitors who came to see headliners Tiken Jah Fakoly, Horace Andy, Inna De Yard All Stars, and Herbaliser.
The village of Cissac-Médoc had never seen anything like it. A godsend for the Music'Action team who, weighed down by financial worries, did not know whether there would be a 13th edition. This time it is certain: it will happen.
