The label Phat & Lazy presents the Love you more riddim, released in early April and distributed by the Germans of Sound Quake.
Concocted by Irieginal Abraham, former member of the Dutch group Beef, this composition, recorded by the Dubtronic Kru and mixed at the Tuff Gong studio in Kingston, gives rise to six interpretations, including the title track Love you more by Irieginal Abraham himself (not to be confused with Joggo's Love you more on the Here I am riddim, released in 2009 on the Sound Quake label). This track is a cover of the song of the same name by the pop group Racoon, also Dutch, released in 2005.
The modern roots-style set is evenly split between Jamaican and European artists. Two tracks stand out in particular: that of the veteran Kirk Davis (brother of Beenie Man, formerly Little Kirk), who expresses his faith as a newly converted Christian, and that of the young German Cornadoor, whose first album is due in June.
This new production is available exclusively as a legal download, on the usual platforms.
