Fifty years into his career, and yet Eric "Monty" Morris had never released an album under his own name. That will finally change on 29 March 2011, when "The Living Legends Collection – Eric Monty Morris" comes out.
It is an album of covers of his own hits, distributed digitally only, and produced by Sadiki, also a singer and, for the occasion, sound engineer.
The first singer of the Skatalites, Eric Morris (he only took the nickname Monty later) had his first hit in 1961 with Humpty Dumpty. Others followed: Penny Reel, Sammy Dead, Strongman Sampson, Oil in My Lamp… All titles that can be found on this album, re-recorded for the occasion.
