Support the film ''The Legends of Ska''

Inspired by the success of "Buena Vista Social Club", radio presenter (and long-time reggae activist) Brad Klein decided in 2000 to embark on the ambitious project of putting the history of ska and its finest representatives on film. The idea came to him after an interview with Derrick Morgan, when he realised there was no film devoted to the genre and its most famous figures.

He thus organised a gigantic concert in Toronto in 2002, bringing together 30 ska artists (Derrick Morgan, Alton Ellis, Prince Buster, Stranger Cole, Justin Hinds, Owen Gray, Doreen Shaffer…).

But obstacles have piled up since then. Currently in post-production, the director is facing significant financial difficulties. So much so that he has decided to turn to Kickstarter, a site that acts as a catalyst for funding, by encouraging internet users to pledge donations.

So far, only $10,000 has been raised. The target of $50,000 is therefore still a long way off, especially as only ten days remain to reach it. Do not hesitate to support this project, which needs every goodwill to finally see the light of day.
