The delightful London band The Skints are back! Co-produced by Prince Fatty, like the previous album "Part & Parcel", their new album, "FM", imagines a fictional pirate radio station, 103.Skints. A tribute to the pirate radio stations that were one of the vehicles for the development of reggae across the Channel.
With the jingles and interludes of the presenters and DJs, the album's concept allows The Skints to alternate between several styles, from ska to reggae by way of dancehall. And even a cover of My War, a track by the American punk band Black Flag. In short, tailor-made for this East London band who have always cultivated eclecticism.
The first single, This Town, paid a nervy tribute to the capital with appearances by Tippa Irie and Horseman:
"FM" is due out on 9 March on the American label Easy Star Records. To mark the occasion, they will play in France in March and April. Don't miss them on stage!
