For its second edition, the Ja'Sound festival stays true to the roots spirit of its beginnings but opens up to a wider audience. While the Twinkle Brothers, Yabby You and Black Uhuru are back, the programme has been considerably freshened up, with the Fifth Element (Richie Spice, Chuck Fender, Anthony Cruz), Natty King, I Wayne, Ras Shiloh, Lyricson, Queen Omega, Sister Carol and Trinity. Midnite's first-ever appearance is also worth noting.
English sound systems are in the spotlight with the return of Aba-Shanti, and appearances by Overproof Sound System feat MC T-Weed, King Earthquake, King Shiloh, Bush Chemists meets Reality Sounds, and The Disciples meets Lion Roots Sound.
The festival will take place from 3 to 6 August 2005 in Bagnols sur Cèze (30). The line-up is not final: a major artist may yet join the top of the bill...
