Bogle: Beenie Man hits back

While Jamaica had been wondering for several weeks about Beenie Man's involvement in the murder of the dancer Gerald "Bogle" Levy, the singer has decided to set the record straight in a new track on the Jonkanoo riddim, produced by Don Corleon.

In his song A nuh me ("It's not me"), he accuses those who spread lies, affirming his rejection of violence and his commitment to music. In this highly ironic lyric, the Grammy Kid says, among other things: "Music me a deal / Me no kill nobody" (I make music / I kill nobody), "Cause if a me / Me would have get rid of Bounty" (If it was me / I would already have got rid of Bounty).

It is not known whether the track will be added to the investigation file, but it can already be said that this very convincing musical indictment has had a definite impact in Jamaica.
