On the initiative of Bingui Jaa Jammy and sponsored by the association Vent d'Echange, the Gang Rebel du Faso, a collective of 13 Afro-reggae artists (including Bingui Jaa Jammy), have come together to foster the emergence of new talent. A compilation has therefore been in the shops in France since the end of June. Each of the artists involved develops conscious lyrics and a reggae deeply rooted in African sounds. With his Commerce triangulaire, Bingui Jaa Jammy denounces the slavery from which a large part of Africa still suffers, the modern slavery endured by women through prostitution, and children working from the youngest age for big multinationals.
Politicians are not spared on Rebelle, performed by Ben Jah Verity. Nothing is forgotten: corruption, illiteracy, idle and disoriented youth, all the ills that are decimating this continent are addressed through committed, militant reggae of precious quality. Much more than a compilation, a conscious collective speaks out to share with you a 100% African reggae discovery, to be heard as soon as possible.
