We now know which sound systems will face each other in the sixth edition of the French Championship. The draw, which will split them into three pools, will take place on Friday 9 September at the Groovin' night at La LOCO in Paris, and will be rebroadcast live on Reggaefrance. Nine sounds will take part:
Art & Spirit – Martinique
Arawak – Guadeloupe
Blues Party – Carcassonne
Junior Sound – Paris
Kill dem Sound – Montreuil
Calaloo – Paris
Ruff Lion – Lille
Subionic – Paris
Wake Up Sound – 91
The rules have been clarified, with a round now dedicated to French dubplates and another to Jamaican dubplates. To avoid a repeat of last year's turmoil, all six dates of the championship will now be held in a single venue: La Loco, in Paris. The announced schedule is as follows:
¼ final Pool A: 2 October
¼ final Pool B: 16 October
¼ final Pool C: 16 October
At the end of this phase, three sounds will be eliminated. The remaining six will face each other in two semi-finals:
First ½ final: 6 November
Second ½ final: 13 November
Final: 18 December
