Brent Dowe, lead vocal of the jamaican trio The Melodians, died of a heart attack yesterday, tells the Jamaican Gleaner. Alongside Tony Brevette and Trevor McNaughton, they signed several hits including Little Nut Tree, Sweet Sensation, and especially Rivers of Babylon, an adaptation of a Psalm popularized by the movie "The harder they come" in 1972 and covered by Boney M in 1978.
