The official website of the Peter Tosh Foundation announces the launch of the "Buy a brick" campaign. The aim? To fund the construction of the Peter Tosh Museum in Westmoreland, Jamaica, with an appeal for donations. In 2003, the proceeds of a tribute album with Eric Clapton, Cypress Hill and Lucky Dube were already earmarked for building this museum, along with a library and a clinic.
This time, those interested can send donations of at least $25 and so become the owner of one of the Museum's bricks, certified by a document signed by Andrew Tosh, the singer's son. Also included are a copy of "Put my faith in Jah" and a Peter Tosh guitar pick. For a minimum of $50, donors will receive the title of Honorary Member of the Peter Tosh Foundation. The official site (www.ptosh.com) already lists the most generous contributors, whose names will also be displayed in the future museum.
