Storm warning at Reggae Sumfest: Bounty Killer "the Poor people's Governor" and Beenie Man "the King of the dancehall" will be the two headliners of the famous "dancehall night" of the Red Stripes Reggae Sumfest, held every year in Montego Bay. Sumfest, one of the biggest reggae festivals in the world, has decided to strike hard by booking the two dancehall superstars, rivals since the early 90s.
The night of Thursday 20 July 2006 therefore promises to be memorable and has been aptly christened "Stormfront – the explosive dancehall night". According to Jomo Cato, marketing director, "the streets are already buzzing in anticipation of the return of the two giants." Let us hope the two artists save the best of their repertoires to blow a storm through Sumfest 2006.
