7th album for Buju Banton
on Thursday, July 20th 2006 - 12 082 views
‘Too bad’, Buju Banton's eagerly awaited next album, will be released in September in the United States. After his last two albums, from 2000 and 2003, which were rather reggae and fairly disappointing, Buju Banton had faded somewhat from the musical landscape.
The new ‘Too bad’ is therefore billed as a fresh start for the artist, with a clearly dancehall record, in the image of the title track produced by Steely and Clevie on the Throw back jiggy riddim. All 17 tracks on the album were recorded in Buju Banton's Gargamel studios, based in Kingston.
Buju has enjoyed a revival of success for the past year now, with several hit singles. With this seventh album, the man known as "Gargamel" marks his return among the heavyweights of reggae.
