Mighty Crown's 15th anniversary
on Tuesday, July 04th 2006 - 11 978 views
Mighty Crown, a sound system founded in Yokohama in 1991, is entering its fifteenth year. This crystal anniversary has been celebrated as it should be since mid-June in Jamaica with a tour of the main parishes, ending on 30 July at the Fully Loaded festival in St Mary.
It is also an opportunity for Mighty Crown to celebrate 10 years of presence in Jamaica, as brothers Simon and Sammy's first trip to the island dates back to 1996. The duo, along with the full crew (Super G, Cojie and Ninja), will play the Asylum club in Kingston on 13 July, St Ann with Bass Odyssey on the 14th and Montego Bay's Sumfest on the 16th.
The Jamaican public has already turned out to salute 15 years of activism on the sound system scene and in reggae in general.
