There was a bit of a wait after the last "Viceroys Inna de yard", released in April 2006, before a new release from Makasound on its Inna De Yard label. After the roots veterans (Cedric Myton, Linval Thompson, Kiddus I), the next instalment in the series will be devoted to Ras Michael Junior, son of the famous percussionist, already a guest on the first volume of the series ("Earl Chinna Smith & Friends") with the track "Medicine Man", which is heard again here and gives the album its name. Ras Michael is backed by his band, Jah is my Light Band; "Medicine man" will also come with a DVD.
This sixth release on the acoustic label already calls for more: we are eagerly awaiting Junior Murvin, due in April, and above all Prince Alla, who should come out in September 2007. In addition, Makasound is preparing a compilation for March titled "Rub a dub soldiers", which will put the rub a dub deejays in the spotlight, along with the second album from the Serbian band FC Aptride, announced for April 2007.
