Once again the list of five nominees for the Grammy Award for best reggae album of the year gives pride of place to the sacred monsters who are regulars at the ceremony. Toots and The Maytals, Sly and Robbie, Burning Spear and Lee "Scratch" Perry will thus compete for the statuette. Among these veterans, Stephen Marley will be the only representative of the younger generation of artists, defending his very good "Mind Control". Will he be able to repeat the success of his brother Damian Marley? The answer comes on 10 February 2008.
The nominees:
Burning Spear - The Burning Spear Experience
Toots & The Maytals - Light Your Light
Sly & Robbie - Anniversary
Lee "Scratch" Perry - The End Of An American Dream
Stephen Marley - Mind Control
Perry's album is not distributed in France. Burning Spear's double album is available only from the online shop of the official website.
