MTV Base will speak French tomorrow. MTV France will launch the 100% French version of its music channel on Friday 21 December. Now in the language of Molière, MTV Base keeps its urban anchoring by focusing on the French and international rap, hip-hop and R&B scene. A natural fit for dancehall, which will not be absent from the schedules.
A day will even be devoted to it: on 12 January 2008, MTV Base goes "dancehall reggaeton mode". Two documentaries will notably be shown, "Aux sources du dancehall" and "Diary Sean Paul" (a day with the deejay), along with a videography of the year's best videos.
