We are at last able to announce the winner of the Rototom talent contest, chosen by the public and by a jury of which Reggaefrance, Music Action and Reggae-Est were part. For the French leg of the competition, it was No More Babylon who won the votes.
Yet the victory was not easily won: a flaw in the translation of the rules had skewed the competition, causing the outright elimination of certain bands. The English rules stipulated that featurings with foreign artists could not be accepted, a clause that had vanished from the French rules.
No More Babylon, top of the votes, was thus given a mark of 0, propelling Danakil into first position. After intense exchanges, everything finally returned to order. The Rototom organisers have therefore decided to reinstate No More Babylon, who should now perform this summer on the Rototom stage.
