A new tribute project to the prince of reggae, Dennis Brown, is about to see the light of day.
Simply entitled "Tribute To Dennis Brown", this box set should contain a CD compiling previously unreleased songs in memory of the singer, recorded by artists such as Ed Robinson, Sugar Minott, Carl Henry, Delly Ranks, Everton Blender, Natty King, Richie Stephens and plenty of others.
A 95-minute DVD will accompany the CD, bringing together a documentary on Dennis Brown's life and work, interviews with him and other artists, as well as a few more unreleased tracks.
Note that this project should be the first in a long series, as the release of similar tributes to the women of reggae and to Peter Tosh has already been announced.
