After a boulevard renamed Studio One, the producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, who died in April 2004, now has his own statue. A bust, sculpted by the Jamaican artist Kay Sullivan and unveiled last weekend, now stands in the grounds of Studio One. At the ceremony, the Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports, Olivia Grange, declared that as long as she was in office, "the name of Clement Dodd and those of the other pioneers will never be forgotten", reports the Jamaica Observer.

On 1 May 2004, Brentford Road, the address of the legendary studio, was renamed Studio One Boulevard, to pay tribute to the career of the famous producer, who died three days later of a heart attack.
