Those who scan the TV schedules may have been lucky enough to catch on Monday night an episode of the documentary series Rock & the city devoted to Kingston, broadcast on Arte.
Conceived by Philippe Manœuvre, this tour of rock cities stopped in Jamaica, with David Commeillas behind the camera (a journalist at the late Ragga, Reggae Vibes). Neighbourhood by neighbourhood, we discovered the musical fever that grips the island. The Rock & the City collection will be released in early March as a DVD box set on EMI, accompanied by a music compilation and a city map detailing the must-visit addresses.
