It was bound to happen: Bounty Killer is due in court on 12 May. The leader of the Alliance will be tried for his dangerous driving earlier this month. He is accused of running seven red lights, endangering the safety of other motorists, and refusing to take a breathalyser test.

Beenie Man, for his part, sees legal trouble returning. Acquitted of tax fraud charges in September 2008 (he was accused of owing the government 40 million Jamaican dollars), the deejay could well be back before a judge: the finance ministry is expected to appeal the decision soon. If so, Beenie Man could be back in court within the year.
