Veteran singer Max Romeo announces that he will retire from music in 2010, after a final album and a farewell tour.

After 42 years of career and almost as many albums, Max Romeo should release a last 14-track opus next year and will embark in February 2010 on his final tour, which will take in Europe.
He has no intention of hanging up completely, however. He does not rule out appearing on stage at big events. He also intends to keep producing his sons and a few artists around him through his recording studio and his label Charmax Music. Finally, Max Romeo owns a sound system, Satta Vibes, which plays every Sunday evening at Treadways, where he lives.
The soon-to-be retiree, aged 62, still has plenty of projects and should not be bored.
