The nominees for the upcoming MOBO Awards (Music Of Black Origin), in the reggae category, were unveiled last week in London.
Two Alliance artists are among them: Serani, first, thanks to his international success, and Mavado, last year's winner (see news of 20/10/08 ).
Also nominated are Sean Paul (already rewarded in 2002), Tarrus Riley and Vybz Kartel (whose participation had been suspended in 2004, following a campaign against homophobic lyrics in England).
The ceremony will be held in Glasgow for the first time, on 30 September. As every year, the public can vote on the MOBO Awards website.
