VP, Morgan Heritage's historic label, announces the release on 27 October of a CD and DVD compilation gathering the group's best tracks.
With eight studio albums and two live albums, the Morgan siblings certainly have enough to fill a best of. Titled "The journey thus far", the disc comprises 20 tracks, ranging from Protect us Jah (from the first self-titled album for the label, released in 1997) to Nothing to smile about (on "Mission in progress", their latest album, released in 2008).
Two tracks previously unreleased on CD have been added to the tracklist: Here to stay, produced by Kurt Riley, and Guards up, recorded by Frenchie.
On the DVD side, there are concert excerpts from Senegal and Gambia, as well as a selection of videos.
At a time when several Morgans have chosen solo careers, the disc aims to mark 12 years of studio work, rich in hits, with a white stone.
