At the 5th "Reggae culture salute" ceremony held in Brooklyn on 1 November, the group Mighty Diamonds was honoured for 40 years of career.

Organised by TSO Productions and the "Coalition to preserve reggae music", the event put the spotlight on the exceptional longevity of the Mighty Diamonds, still united around its three members as on day one.
Donald "Tabby" Shaw, Fitzroy "Bunny" Simpson and Lloyd "Judge" Ferguson received no fewer than three awards, two of them from local political figures.
