Ninth fastest in qualifying (1'13"71) and then winner of his round of 16 heat, Errol Kerr bowed out at the quarter-final stage on Sunday in the skicross event at the Vancouver Olympic Games. Kerr, Jamaica's only representative at these Games, came close to winning a ticket to the semi-finals, finishing third in his quarter-final behind Switzerland's Schmid and Canada's Barr.

In the end, the man who could well be the hero of a "Rasta Rockett 2" (read Focus) finished 9th in the event, out of 33 competitors.
