Nothing is going right in Gaza. After the departure of Gaza Kim (now Kym) and the expulsion of Lisa Hype (now Lisa Hyper, see news of 04/01/2010), it is now Black Ryno's turn to distance himself from Vybz Kartel's crew.
Rumour had been announcing his departure for a week, but it was a news item that confirmed it. Last Thursday, 25 February, police in Waterford (part of the Portmore municipality) said that shots had been fired at a house, which could be Black Ryno's. Vybz Kartel immediately condemned the attack, confirming at the same time that Ryno was no longer part of the Portmore Empire. It was then reported that the house hit was not the artist's, but one in the neighbourhood.
In the latest episode, Black Ryno released a new song yesterday, titled Mi lef (I'm gone), explaining the reasons for his departure. In the wake of this, his family is said to have left Waterford under police escort.
