In 2010, the German label and sound system Pow Pow celebrates 20 years of existence. To mark the occasion, it is releasing a double CD, with 20 of the best singles recorded by the label on the first disc and a mix of dubplates on the second.
It features, for example, standout tracks on the riddims Blaze (Junior Kelly, Richie Spice), Superior (Gentleman), Overstand (Fantan Mojah, Alborosie), First sight (Turbulence), Gladiator (Bounty Killer) and Shanty town (Sizzla).
On the dubplate side, the Cologne collective offers 20 special anthems, a reminder that in 2000 Pow Pow was the first sound from continental Europe to take part in a World Clash.
