The day after the announcement of the hospitalisation of Voicemail's O'Neil, attacked by two gunmen, we learned that Mad Cobra had also been the victim of a shooting on Tuesday evening in St Catherine, Jamaica.

Hit in the chest and hospitalised in Spanish Town, he is only wounded thanks to a swift response from the emergency services, and his condition appears stable. No information is currently available on the identity of the shooter or the motive for the attack.

To be complete, the run of bad luck began last month with Louie Culture, hit by two bullets in the arm. He, on the other hand, had been questioned and briefly detained by the police.

Dancehall deejay Mad Cobra, who was shot and injured on Tuesday (May 11) in Portmore, has been released from hospital. Cobra, who reportedly received two gun shot wounds to the chest, is said to be “resting comfortably at home” at this time. Initial police investigations indicate that he was shot after an altercation with men who were offended because the deejay had shone his vehicle’s bright lights on them.

According to a report on Television Jamaica (TVJ) earlier tonight, yesterday evening’s shooting incident which left dancehall deejay Mad Cobra nursing gunshot wounds, stemmed from an altercation that he had with some youths in the Braeton community of Portmore. According to the report, the youths were offended because the deejay had shone his vehicle’s bright lights on them. Despite recognizing that the offender was the veteran deejay Mad Cobra and a long-time resident of the community, the youths still fired shots at him. He is still in hospital at this time in stable condition
