A newcomer on the Jamaican music scene, the lovely I-Eye, trained in the church and gospel schools, is making a name for herself with the local public thanks to the Jamaica Cultural Development competition.
In Europe, her name is linked to one of this year's big hits: the track Mama she don't like you, on which she accompanies Alborosie.
Now signed to Shang Records, she is about to embark on a European tour throughout August as Alborosie's opening act.
The tour will begin at the Garance Reggae Festival in Bagnols-sur-Cèze on 29 July and will no doubt be the occasion to reveal a few extracts from her first album Fever Grass, due out soon.
