Like eclipses, reconciliations between Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, the two best enemies in dancehall, are rare but cyclical. The latest one took place at the Guinness Summer Eclipse party in Negril, in the early hours of Monday 2 August.

Before wrapping up his set, Bounty Killer called Beenie Man on stage, and he obliged in front of a delirious crowd. The two deejays embraced, then shared classic riddims, taking turns on the mic. According to Bounty, the meeting was completely improvised.
Bounty Killer, who has recently taken up his "Poor People's Governor" mantle again, is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity on the island. It must be said that the past few months have not been rosy for the star, between his legal troubles and his visa problems. Already, on 22 July, during the "dancehall night" at Reggae Sumfest, he had been honoured for his contribution to Jamaican music. Bounty is currently number one on the Hot 102FM charts with This is how we do it, his duet with Elephant Man.
Since this reconciliation, rumours have been circulating about a possible duet between the two artists.
Update of 11/08/10: The two deejays did it again last Saturday in the early hours to close the Fully Loaded party. The proof in pictures:
