It is a return to their roots: Jamaican dancehall quartet T.O.K are reuniting with the producer of their early days, Shams. Producer and manager of the group between 1997 and 2003, Richard "Shams" Brown is the man who brought them to the forefront.
Between the Baddis Riddim in 1998, the Intercourse the following year (with the terrible Badman Anthem) but also the Juice (Man a badman with Bounty Killer), the Glu Riddim or the Tai Chi (Cree), Shams considerably fleshed out TOK's discography.
Their paths parted in 2003, even though he produced several other tracks for the group, including the hit Hotta (on the recut of the Baddis) in 2005.
The two sides got back together this year, Flex tells the Jamaica Star. "We did three tracks, In This Club, Bubble for Me and a third one that is still in production". "The chemistry is still there," adds Shams. "We are going to make as many songs as possible, pure party songs, just nice vibes".
Meanwhile, TOK's new album, "Forever", is announced for early 2011.
