A U-turn for Fantan Mojah. After noisily slamming the door on Downsound Records, the label that launched him, in the summer of 2006 (see news of 20 July 2006), Fantan now announces that he is coming back to the fold.

Giddy with success, he signed with Greensleeves, toured Europe, and quickly got it into his head to set up his own label, Macka Tree. At the Ja’ Sound 2006, he told us with all modesty: "You have to know how to take a stand like Bob Marley did with Chris Blackwell when he wanted to set up Tuff Gong. That's what I want to do by creating my label Macka Tree."
The reconciliation with Downsound and its boss Joseph Bogdanovich has already given birth to two singles, Call my name and Been through the fire, with a new album in the pipeline.
