Two years of legal trouble have come to an end for Luciano: accused of harbouring a criminal, Luciano walked out of Half Way Tree court a free man. After a lengthy procedure, the Jamaican justice system finally dropped the case for lack of evidence.

Luciano was accused of having sheltered at his home Andrew Senior, a fugitive wanted for several murders. The prosecution had been brought after a sad incident. On 25 March 2009, in Westminster Crescent, Andrew Senior had shot and wounded three police officers, firing from one of Luciano's houses, before finally being shot dead.
Accused of knowingly sheltering the fugitive, the Messenjah has always maintained his innocence.
