20 years after his last concert in Japan, Shabba Ranks is back in the Land of the Rising Sun. The icon of 80s and 90s Jamaican dancehall is the guest of Japanese sound system Mighty Crown, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary with a bang in Yokohama Stadium on Saturday 6 August 2011.

The Far East Rulers are used to big crowds (their anniversaries regularly set attendance records), and this latest anniversary should reach unprecedented proportions, as Mighty Crown and Shabba Ranks will share the same stage for the first time. "Over the years, we have played with a host of old school artists like Super Cat, Ninja Man, Half Pint, Barrington Levy, and the energy was good… I can't wait to play with Shabba, I know it will be incredible," said Sami T, the co-founder of Mighty Crown.
