While he will be playing in concert on 30 July in Bordeaux as part of the Nuits Atypiques, Tiken Jah Fakoly will be in the spotlight from tonight, Friday 1 July. Two events are dedicated to the Ivorian singer, starting with the presentation of the first biography devoted to him, "Tiken Jah Fakoly : l'Afrique ne pleure pas, elle parle" (Arènes, read the news of 11/03/2008), in the presence of its author Frédérique Briard, a journalist at Marianne. The presentation will take place at 6.30pm at the bookshop La machine à lire (Place du Parlement).

That same Friday 1 July, at 8.30pm, there will be a one-off screening of the film "Tiken Jah Fakoly, viens voir" at the Utopia cinema. The screening of this 52-minute documentary, directed by Jessy Nottola in 2007, will be followed by a discussion with Frédérique Briard, hosted by Patrick Lavaud.
