After Mavado earlier this month (news of 05/07/2011), Beenie Man can now travel to the United States again... but not work there.
A tourist visa was granted to him at the end of last week by the US embassy in Kingston. Beenie hopes to be able to get a work permit as soon as possible. As a result, he will not be able to perform at his birthday party, organised on 20 August by Irish & Chin at the Amazura club in New York, even though he should attend.
Beenie Man's visa, along with those of many other Jamaican artists, had been cancelled in April 2010 (news of 19/05/2010).
