Attention, big event: at nearly 80, guitarist Ernest Ranglin will play an exceptional concert in Paris on Saturday 26 November 2011. Do not miss the Jamaican guitarist, with a CV as long as your arm, passing through La Bellevilloise.

From mento in the 1950s to ska the following decade (Easy Snapping, My Boy Lollipop), a pillar of Coxsone's musicians at Studio One, Ernest Ranglin became an essential musician in the 1970s. Hailed for his jazz-reggae fusion, and the album "Below the Bassline", his contribution is such that the Jamaican government awarded him the Order of Distinction in 1973. Not to be missed!
