Released in cinemas in April, "Le Premier Rasta" will be available on DVD on 15 December 2011. Co-directed by Christophe Farnarier and the journalist and writer Hélène Lee, who spent several years working on this screen adaptation of her 1999 book, "Le Premier Rasta" rehabilitates the memory of Leonard Percival Howell.
An essential documentary for anyone wondering about Rasta thought, which, before plunging into religion, was above all about identity and revolution (read our interview with Hélène Lee).
The DVD also includes the film's deleted scenes, musical extras (The Abyssinians, Bongo Herman, Miss Audrey White-Lewis...), and an interview with Hélène Lee.
