Dub Inc is the story of a gang of teenagers who formed a reggae band with no idea that ten years later they would be among the most popular groups in France.

The documentary "Rude Boy Story" looks back at the singular trajectory of the Saint-Étienne combo, marked by independence and self-production: Dub Inc founded its own label, Diversité, and books its own tours.
A daily struggle with its good and bad moments, told by the filmmaker Kamir Meridja, who followed them camera in hand. Kamir Meridja had already directed the video for Métissage, as well as Lost Girl by Meta &The Cornerstones. He followed the band for two years, on tour, in the studio and in their daily lives. Mike from Sinsemilia, David from Babylon Circus, Amazigh Kateb from Gnawa Diffusion, Tiken Jah Fakoly and many others also appear. A precious testimony on artistic independence in the 2000s.
Much like Dub Inc's own career, the film is not getting a national release, and each screening will be something of an avant-première. The director and the band members (as far as possible) will defend the film at meetings organised after the screenings.
The film will be shown on Thursday 19 April at the cinema Le France in St-Étienne, then on Friday 20 April at the cinema Le Méliès. Each screening will be followed by a meeting with the director and the band members, then by a party as part of the Reggae City's Youth Festival.
