The godfather of British reggae Dennis Bovell is back with a new dub album, on the label Pressure Sounds. Well, not quite new.

After recently undergoing an operation, Dennis Bovell received strict orders from his doctor, who forbade him to go near his bass. It is easy to imagine the voracious musician and producer going round in circles… So Dennis Bovell dug through his archives.
In the basement, he came across a box of masters, analogue tapes, some dating from the 1970s. Off to Mad Professor's studio, where he converted the lot to digital format before getting stuck into the mix.
The result: seventeen tracks with appearances from I-Roy, and an exercise in style between past and modernity. "Mek It Run", the 75th release on the Pressure Sounds label, had been available on CD and digital for a few weeks. It is now available as a double LP, on the Pressure Sounds website .
Pressure Sounds has also reissued the compilation of Bunny Lee productions, "New Ideas 1988", completed by two previously unreleased tracks. Available in digital format only.
